Homeless and clotheless...

3 Nights in Paris... Wow what a stunning city. We loved it. Did a fantastic bike tour through the streets for a few hours which ended cruising down the Seinne River sipping on red wine. Met some cool people along the way. Stayed in a fantastic hotel... Ate amazing food... A perfect 3 days.
We were cruising around on the last night when we saw a big crowd of people in one of the parks. We hurried over as everyone looked quite excited and were eating, drinking and chatting!? ... We soon realised it was the local St Vinnies giving out free food to the homeless. We were tempted to join them, as we honestly looked like we hadnt showered for a while... and we literally are homeless... Alas, we couldn't bring ourselves to do it and casually walked on out of the park, jealous of their free baguettes and cheese, feeling pretty certain that soon we would be as poor as them.
Due to our early flight to Munich on the fourth morning, we had to spend a night at the airport as the trains don't start early enough. We set up camp behind the flight arrival info monitors. Class.

Caught our flight to Heathrow feeling pretty crusty, and then connected on to Munich only to find that our bags were still in England. Rats. We were really looking forward to a shower and change of clothes.
Of course, the good thing about this is that our travel insurance covers lost baggage, and so, we have spent the last day buying Australia jerseys, hats and scarfs... only the essential items of course.
The bad news is that its more than one day later and we still haven't got our luggage back. So we now have a choice of wearing our original flight clothes / which had alerady been worn two or three times each... or wearing our soccer gear around the place. We are opting to look like yellow and green freaks, and not surprisingly, we are fitting in quite well.
Watched the Aus vs Japan match at a big park overlooking a lake with loads of fans, about 28 degrees, not a cloud in the sky. Far out, what a rad game!!! We went absolutely ballistic. Man, what a great place to be at this time. We are so fortunate. We trust everyone at home is setting their clocks to get up to watch Aus rock on...
